I don't know how long you have lived in Florida, but come Spring, Summer and Fall when you are barraged by flies and mosquitos and >gasp< COCKROACHES, you are gonna wish you still had all those geckos. They eat bugs. So do bats and birds, so try to foster them in your yard. Humans and nature CAN get along. The lizards won't hurt you, and eventually you get used to them. Just another household pet.
