Interpretation

"Hi. I was going to use the left over turkey breast to make a pot pie for dinner. But I still need something to feed the kids since they won't touch pot pie. Can you pick up a pizza on the way home?"

"Sure."

"Great. I am going to go to the gym when you get home. You can feed the kids and then we can eat together when I get back."

"Okay. See you then."

Would you interpret this that there will be pot pie when you get home? What if pot pie is like your favorite meal ever? Wouldn't you get home and expect there to be a freshly baked turkey pot pie?

I'm not falling for this. You're just trying to get us in trouble with Lauren!! ;)

No. You are bringing pizza home. You feed kids while she goes to the gym. AFTER she goes to the gym, she'll use the turkey to make potpie and you two can eat together. Duh.

Oh it must've been Friday. Put your apron on and try to make yourself look pretty before she gets home.

Wait, Was it Monday? Stop at Joane Fabrics and get 3 yards of that curtain fabric, get your manicure, then put your apron on, and try to look pretty when she gets home.

There will be pot pie, but you may not eat it until she gets home and gets cleaned up. It's a test of your love and will-power to resist temptation. Be Ware.

Wait... is turkey pot pie a euphemism for "making whoopie"?

Duh... like all women she's smart enough to know that if she makes it BEFORE she goes to the gym, not only will you eat all of your supper, but all of HERS as well. Must be sorta like my husband, as soon as he hear the word "tacos" he suddendly goes deaf to all else. That must have happend to you, which is why I didn't mention "pot pie" 'til now... you stopped reading didn't you? I knew it. *sigh* Men!

THe pot pie will not be ready until Lauren gets home from the gym. Perhaps it is in the oven while she is gone?

never assume the pot pie will be there. If it is there, don't touch it until Lauren gives the ok. Don't even look at it. Don't piss off the Lauren.

Just look at the picture of pot pie in your Woman's Day magazine until she gets home.

At The Pickworth School of Charm they teach husbands not to comment adversely about dinner, as this is shaky ground. Just scramble some eggs and say nothing.

Pot Pie will be ready after Lauren gets home from the gym if not you would be tempted to eat the pot pie while she is gone and then you won't have dinner sans kids later.

I hope the pot-pie is in a big pot and not in the oven!

I believe that Karen is correct... unless Lauren is like me, in which case you cannot know when dinner will be ready. Can you wait until 8 o'clock?

I think it suggests that the pie will be prepared but it won't be baked until after the gym.
