Boogers

"Is Wyatt okay?" I asked Lauren as she climbed back into bed.

"Yes. He just wanted to cuddle for a bit. He wanted to come into bed with us but I told him I would lay with him in his bed for a few minutes."

"Oh. good." I turned out my bedside light.

"Did you ever notice all the dried boogers on the wall next to his bed?" Lauren asked.

"Ew. No. That's kind of gross."

"Yes it is."

"Well the good thing is, at least he is not eating them."

"Yes. You're right."

"Good night Lauren."

"Good night Bill."

Lauren turned out her light.

"Bill," Lauren said breaking the quiet, "That is not comforting. Did you ever notice how there are no dried boogers on the wall next to Max's bed?"

Max is older, right? Then he is sophisticated enough to be depositing HIS boogers on the sheet, in the space between the bed and the wall, where they will not be detected. That was always my ploy. (Who am I kidding, "was"....ha ha ha ha)

ROTFLMBO

My 3rd-born had a lovely mural going next to his bed at that age. I nearly wore off the paint washing them all off.
At least the sheets get washed! (Thanks, Giddy)

Paint a bulls eye on the wall. Or two booger corrals One for big one for little. He can start a collection.

Go to sleep. Lauren. Eaten boogers, one day, will be the least of your worries.

Sometimes it's better to just not think about certain things.

Thanks for the booger story - I had asked a few moms about it & they looked at me like I was crazy so I thought my kid was alone in his weirdness.

Ditto. Got 'em at my house too. To clarify, not on my wall. On my son's. And none to be found as well on the wall next to the middle child's bed. I know where those go. Ah... the joys.
