While I was at work I called home. Lauren answered the phone this is what I heard.
Lauren: Hello? HellOOoo?
(Maxfield giggles in the background)
Lauren: Helloooooww?
(Maxfiled giggles some more)
Lauren: Sorry Bill. We answered the banana, but no one was there.
Picturing Lauren and Max with banana's next to their ears made me laugh.

The other night the phone rang and I could tell by the caller ID it was a telemarketer. I let Max answer it. I wish I could have heard the person on the other end.

geez, Bill, i just LOVE your blog. i always get a smile and usually a really good laugh.
thanks so much for sharing your family with us.
lauren - thanks for letting him!
Heh...gotta love the banana to the ear prank.
Not to mention the "Toddler Answering The Phone" prank...since I don't have a toddler, I just put the Dog on the phone and give him the command to bark like there is a serial killer at the door :-)
You are my new hero...I never thought of letting the tots answer those telemarketers when they were little...very clever! Love these stories..keep 'em coming! Stacie
i useta love it when telemarketers would call...i'd let the kids ramble on and on by telling them it was grandma on the phone...ha!
I love the old stand by - let the kids answer the phone when it's telemarketers. Right after our car v. house accident, I let my girls answer the phone and tell the story to all the poor telemarketers who called. hehehe. serves 'em right.
Max 1 - Telemarketer 0.
#2 is a great idea!! I will so use that the next time one calls my house.
Oh, I so need to let Nik answer those unknown calls! You are so very smart.
LOL... that's great! This post totally made me smile!
Knock Knock, Who's there? Banana.
Banana who?
Cute!
Sometimes I use bananas to "shoot" my cats with.
My children have never had that pleasure, talking to a telemarketer. But now, thanks to you, I will see that they use those irritants as a valuable tool for learning.
Thanks for the giggle and the trick!
the banana phone--aaaah such fond memories....of a couple days ago--I banana phoned my hubby--it was so cute--he thought I was a dork, probably rightly so!
Lauruen was telling me about your blog - glad I found it!
Just today at your house, Jason found that tiny banana that goes with the magnetic monkey and was walking around with it in his mouth - "Mom! I'm hungry! I love'amananas!" So sorry... he continues to be a bad example for Max... Not that Max won't get his turn with thhe new little one...
I always give the phone to Em if it's a TM... Fun stuff.
