Lauren: Mother’s day is May 14th.
Bill: Oh right. Thanks for reminding me. (Trying to be sarcastic and funny) I need to get MY mom something.
Lauren: (acting like my attempt at humor is not funny) Heh.
Bill: What? You’re not MY MOTHER.
Lauren: Yeah. You’re right. I am not YOUR mother. So start picking up your own socks off the floor.

Put a sock in it Potsy
Are you my Mother? SNORT
My husband keeps calling me mom and thinks it's sexy.
It's not.
LOL... I LOVE that!
(and I'll remember it for use at a later date in my own home!)
She is SOOOOO much funnier than you, dude.
I know you probably already realize this, but...
Buddy, you are SO outclassed in the witty barb exchange competition. Just concede, man; just concede.
HA you better get that girl a fabulous gift!
anonymous made me laugh--i remember that book with the big SNORT!
Lauren's so funny, Bill! She always has a fast, witty comment for you!
Wow! Do all guys say that? Mr. Lane said that to me while I was pregnant with our second child too. I have to say I didn't take it as well as Lauren. Just remember, father's day comes after mother's day. :P
Lois Lane
William -- you may concede that she's wittier, but whatever you do -- keep blogging it! :)
Darn straight. I feel like I have TWO kids. UGH.
I think men fall into one of two camps--the mother's day means a present and ass kissing for their own mothers camp, or mother's day means presents and ass kissing for their own mother AND the mother of their children. Lauren TOTALLY deserves you and your dirty socks to move into Camp 2.
You've definitely met your match. Is there anything better?
LOL - I heart Lauren.
Bill,
That is what Dad would say.
I don't expect anything from Marcus on Fathers Day. I just expect to be allowed to go out golfing that day.
'atta girl Lauren. You keep 'em in check.
Zing! Oh, go Lauren! Good thing she's so fast - she can totally keep you and Max in line.
See how that works? ROFL We have this same conversation every year at my house...Stacie
My hub tried that on me a long time ago. Suffice it to say that he never did it again.... ever.
There is nothing worse than being married to a woman scorned... LOL!
LOL.
A mother is a mother. And what mother doesn't like to be recognized for a job well done. *smile*
Hey there- I'm new here. Just wanted to say Hi and let you know that I'm enjoying your blog.
-n
I am soooooo using that TONIGHT!!
hee hee.
Anne Glamore: if Shaun ever did that I would beat him to death with my rolling pin. Shucks!
Mother should I run for President?
She is so darn funny.
