Wanted: Fix-it Man
Needed for miscellaneous repairs to a bottom step area. The step is worn and has a sag in the middle in the shape of a two-year-old’s heinie. The wall next to the step could use some touch-up paint to cover the various fingerprints and smudges (The wall should probably be scraped first though, due to greenish/brownish globs that were deposited there). The wood floor just below the last step is slightly worn as well from little feet shuffling and kicking it. The carpet on the step would need to be cleaned due to many salty teardrops that are left there over multiple two-minute periods of time.

ah... the joys of discipline...
just remember, like some old person in your life once said, "and this too shall pass"
I'll send Joel right over... after he finishes fixing a similar area in our house...
awwwww, poor thing. I think you should leave it the way it is.
ah, the memories of the little boy and his tantrums.
Ohhh, that's the way Time-outs work! I've been doing it wrong this whole time. When my kids are bad I say, "That's it, it is time for a timeout!" Then I grab a bottle of vodka and a glass of ice and lock myself in the closet. Are you saying that the kids are supposed to go into a time out? Yeah, I get it now, that might work. I don't know if they should be drinking yet, but I'll try it.
L.W. You are funny! In my day, I paddled the hinie, saved the step, and saved the Vodka. Time Out? What's that? Something invented by the new generation! For some, doesn't seem to work. I often used "the Corner", too. You didn't turn out so bad. The therapy helped!
I'm with momo9, paddle the little hiney and save a few steps. Just think, it only gets to be a longer time-out the older they get. A little swat won't hurt 'em.
Paddle a hiney and then go catch a smoke with Midge. My work here is finished.
somebody didn't like his time-out, eh?!
Welcome to the Terrible-Two's as they call it. Yikes! Hang in there, it won't be long till he's in the Terrible-Seventeens!
Stacie
Hee!
That is all.
greenish brownish globs...Gross! mine handed me two boogers the other day! very disgusting.
My niece hated time outs so much that all I ever had to do was THREATEN it and she settled right down. and ewwww greenish brow blobs...
You might want to wait to fix that step until Wyatt gets to be around four... ;)
Nah, you just need a red, circular time-out rug from Ikea.
Ah, I thought we were talking about a naughty step. Don't fix it yet. Wait until they move out.
It's way too early for fixing that step. Hold off another 10 years or so. BTW, LW's idea works equally well.
A chair in the center of a room works good too....far enough away from the walls so no harm done. Just wait till Wyatt gets to be 2...he's learning all Max's tricks and will have some of his own.
That's my line.....I'm aways looking for a fix it man .....LOL
Keep the kid off the "naughty step" and your house won't be a wreck! Sheesh, you are the meanest dad ever! LOL!
oh man the suprises on the wall!
Sitting on the step sucks!
