I Blame

I cleaned out the attic this weekend and found some old pictures.

I blame my mom, my sister Sharon, my brothers Dennis, Kevin, Dan, and John for letting me go to school like this, in the first grade, for picture day.

You would think someone would have told me that my bow tie was upside down.

Your tie was fine. YOU were upside down. (The jacket is killin' me.)

Jacket + upside down tie + that haircut = priceless

Hey, by today's standards you are SUPER hip...isn't all that garb in again thanks to OutKast? As long as it's all properly worn...that is.

I didn't even KNOW there was a right-side-up to a bow tie, until NOW!

Bastards.

But other than the bowtie, you look almost exactly the same today.

that must be a boy thing.

You'd think someone would mention that bow ties were so NOT cool.

Not to mention the stripey jacket.

snicker

Reminds me: must burn all my childhood pictures.

It does frame your face very well, even if it is upside down.

Hee hee!

You have a look of "I'll get them back someday..." on your face.

I can't believe they let little kids work at soda fountains in those days...

but you are adorable, the rest of the outfit doesn't matter.

Amazingly enough, that is exactly what Batman's 1st grade school picture looked like, too.

you remind me of Bert, Dick VanDyke in Marry Poppins....when he dances with the penquins!

Wow. You can tell you had a bunch of older brothers to protect you on the playground ;-)

P.S. You were still cute though. I probably would have shared my lunch with you.

holy cow I am crying at this whole post. What made you want to wear a bow tie to school in first grade?

Oh sure, blame everyone else. Face it Bill... when you want to defy the laws of fashion (blinking shoes), you cannot be stopped. ;)

Total stud muffin. I wore a string of pearls in my first grade photo. If only we'd been in the same class...

Wow, that looks a lot like Max with darker hair, huh?? Aren't genetics amazing!?!?

Bow tie!??! TOO CUTE!??

Yes, someone should have told you. Apparently it didn't bother you too much at the time:)

You're blaming us! When you left for school that day, the tie was upside right! I remember that day exactly! What about the phtographer? That person should have fixed it for you. Bill, you strive to be different in every way. Bet you did it yourself! You wanted to wear that particular tie! i remember it well! Cherish the photo! The Mom is always the one that gets blame.See, how it made people laugh and smile!
