Why is it that whenever I try to dress my freshly bathed kids, in their PJ's, that when I get the left pant leg all ready and "open" they will always lift their right leg? Then while they are standing with their right leg in the air I switch and scrunch up and open the right pant leg they decide to lift their left leg. Do all kids do this? Or is Max just messing with me?
1 out of 3 times Max ends up with both legs in the same pant leg.

Lucas does the exact same thing! Drives me crazy!
Does it with shoes as well!
Isaac does it too....especially when he's only half paying attention.
It's Murphy's Law of P.J.s.
They're messing with you.
It's a plot to keep you standing at attention. Learn it now and learn it carefully..........there's more to come!
Ha Ha I was wondering the same thing. Everytime for me as well. Especially both in one pant leg.
I dunno why. It must have been in the manual before they left the womb...
Yes...ALL kids do this...
My kids also start lifting their legs when I try to put a shirt over their head...
Pavloff PJ Theory, see Dad scrunching up the opening ... lift a leg. *wink*
Story of my life.
They all do that. I've tried this: I get the pant leg ready and then I tap the leg or foot I want with my finger or hand and they lift that one. I dont have to say anything. Now they say "is this my left leg or right leg?" It took a few times but it works. Same with shoes. Snowpants. etc.
Get nightgowns...it worked for Clare. With Max it may be different though...either he'll learn how to put on pants really quickly or it'll backfire terribly.
It's absolutely a thing that all children do to drive their parents crazy. All 3 of mine do this. What does momof9 say? She has certainly put pants on enough kids to give an expert opinion!
It's both - all kids do this and they are all playing with our heads.
I agree with eclectic...it is Murphey's Law of P.J.s, pants, or underwear.
LOL. So funny because it's so true.
absolutely... and doesn't it make you want to cry and laugh at the sametime?
You bath AND dress the kid?? I have nothing to add here...
My kids do that and I'll tap on the foot I want until they pay attention. Sure, your way makes more sense but I'm stubborn that way.
And thank you for your kind words, they made me smile. I'm gonna add your comment to my Professional Achievements section on my resume.
