Four years already

Four years ago Lauren and I exchanged these vows.

I chose you to be my wife/husband
In front of our family and friends as witnesses
I promise to give you the very best of me
and to ask of you no more than you can give.

I promise to always love you
in good times and bad
in healthy times and in sickness.
I promise to be faithful to you.
I promise to always be there for you
to support you and to nurture you
and to be receptive of the gift of your love.

I love you more today than yesterday
but not as much as tomorrow

I will love you for the rest of my life*

As you wish.

* I actually did not say this particualr line because I was a blubbering idiot so I am off the hook with "rest of my life" part.

Go here for the story that I posted last year. And here and here for pictures of the groomsmen.

If you want to see the video of part of the toast where the LawnWhisperer is dressed as Superman please go to his blog and leave him a message/comment so I can get permission to post it.

Happy Anniversary you two. I can't imagine you being a "blubbering idiot". You look tough on the outside but I guess you're just a big old softy on the inside.

Happy Anniversary, Bill & Lauren! May the future bring you many more years of health and happiness.

Meanwhile, I can't believe you got Chewbacca to be a groomsmen. Too funny! He didn't mention anything about it on his blog!

Hey.... today is my 4th anniversary with my hubby too! Who says the 13th is bad luck?

So, um, didja find your ring yet? 'Cause I'm pretty sure you can't have a wedding anniversary if you're not married. It's in the rulebook somewhere, if I could just find where I put it.

;) Congratulations and love to you both!

"As you wish"??? Awww...that is the best line in a wedding vow I have ever heard, for anyone who is familiar with the Princess Bride at least :)

Ok man,

Now I know this has NOThing to do with your anniversary post, but I've just got comment.

In all my life I've never, Ever heard of a child named Blue.

I read a couple weeks ago (we've kinda had our hands full lately, and I've always lurked here...but, so congrats. :)

My boy's middle name is Blue too!

Harlan Blue, aka bounce~

Just thought I'd share.

Happy Anniversary - hope this finds you and your lovely wife enjoying a girlfriend/boyfriend type night.

I walked down the aisle to Princess Bride as well. Mark Knopfler just slays me.

I am not sure that I can be a part of such sap. I can not even see through the thick disgussting, syruppy mess of goo that you have going on here. I can not allow my great rendition of Superman to be played on a sight such as this. Superman is a tough guy. He is the man of steel. He does not do cameo's on soap opera's. He is not a character from a love story. He is an action hero. A super hero. No, he can't be seen on this sight.

Happy Anniversary. You guys rock. Like you'd ever want to be off the hook with someone as wonderful as Lauren... :)

Your wedding was definitely one of the very best amd most beautiful that I have been to. I have tried to describe the drunken superhero toast to friends who don't know y'all, and they kind of just smile indulgently but don't believe me when I say it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. Happy anniversary William and Lauren!!!

And Lawn Whisperer, I think it would be okay to post the video here without worrying about doing damage to Superman's rep. I don't think anyone is going to confuse the real man of steel with the lawn obsessed man of beer belly dressed in super costume.

I can verify that you guys really are the coolest couple on the planet. I hope someday to have a love like yours. Love you both!
