Nesting...Lauren Style

Our spare beddroom/office before

Maxfield's bedroom...after

Part of Lauren's nesting instinct for this pregnancy was making sure Maxfiled had a big kids room. As you can see the before pictures, everything was white. Now Max has a very colorful room done completely by Lauren, Okay I helped paint, but everything else was done by a pregnant women. The quilt, the window seat, the window treatment, the pillow on the window seat, the shelves being painted, the knick knack stuff on the shelves even the artwork on the walls was done by Lauren. I don't want to brag or anything but she is awesome.

Max started sleeping in his new room about a month ago. It took one night for him to adjust to his big kids bed. He selpt straight through the night without getting out of his bed once. He has done the same every night since then. We'll see what happens when the baby arrives.

That looks like the cutest little boy's room ever!!! Wow! Can Lauren come down to West Palm and do Brenna's room sometime? (and we'll need you to come, too, Bill, to paint, of course)

Wow--Lauren should become an interior designer. After seeing the kitchen and Max's room, I'd hire her in a heartbeat!

Max looks like he will sneak out that window in a couple of years to catch a smoke.

The room looks great, and Lauren and the baby are very beautiful. I read backwards here (well, not exactly, you know what I mean), with a smile on my face all the time, until I learned a new phrase: fire helmet? I never . . .

By this time next week I think you will have welcomed your second son :)

Wowzer. She IS awesome! :)

Yay to Maxfield for his big boy room/bed!

Lauren, if I send you pics of my kitchen, can you give me some ideas for it? I won't ask you to actually do the work... you know, until the new baby is a little older. I can wait. :)

Yeah Lauren rocks. I suck at that stuff. I have started thinking about moving Nate to a big boy room, but I can't even get the kid to nap in a big bed while I'm WITH him. Just don't know what to do. I think rails like that might help give him a clue he's supposed to stay in there, no jump around like a monkey.

P.S. Those shelves rock but you know Max is gonna climb up to the top someday. Good thing they're built-in, but it'll still scare the crap outta ya when he can't get back down.

I greatly admire the work your wife did on your son's new bedroom. As a first time mom expecting a little boy in November, each time I enter our office/spare room to get started on turning it into a nursery, I give up because I don't have a clue what to do with all the CRAP that is in there now. So, my question to you (and your amazing wife) is WHERE IN THE WORLD DID YOU PUT ALL THE STUFF THAT WAS IN THERE BEFORE?!?! I could get started if I could just answer that one queation!
