Ooohhh I'm first! My very favorite Saturday morning cartoon was Land of the Lost. Every morning was Captain Caveman, Underdog and Bullwinkle and Rocky, of course!

Do The Monkee's count? Ha! I have very vivid memories of watching old Monkee's reruns as a kid.

I miss Rainbow Brite, although the feminist in me weeps at my statement!

My son looooooves Iggy Wiggy and I'd dying for some more chapters!

We need a video of you running, as I have never seen someone run while looking like they are dragging a piano behind him.

Speed of lightening, roar of thunder. Fighting all who rob or plunder....Underdog!

I miss Thundercats, Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony, and Duck Tales. I still watch cartoons now with my 4 year old, only now it's Spongebob and Handy Manny. I wish I could get him to watch Looney Tunes.

Mine wasn't so much a cartoon, but I loved H.R. Puffenstuff.

Not cartoons, but I do remember watching "Saved by the Bell" with you. Believe it was on Saturday, also. How old were you? Twenty?:)maybe younger... the good old days.. you were having breakfast...I was having lunch. Don't mean to give away any secrets...but I remember....We're both from the same "geek" mold. Love you...remember when?

I loved them all. One of my favorites was He-Man. I even had a He-Man Big Wheel. They definitely don't make them like they used to. I am glad to see them bring some of them back on cable channels. My husband thinks I am nuts!

Bay City Rollers....when I saw it in writing, it made me smile. I loved them back then and to this day my older sister still razzles me about it. S...A...T...U...R..DAY Night....brings back good memories!

In the book Outliers, there is a long discussion about birthdays and sports teams, and how the older kids on the teams end up being better athletes, for many reasons. We have a pediatrician in town who recommends holding kids back before starting school in order to improve their chances at sports.

Oh yeah, my favorite cartoon was HR Puffinstuff (showing my age!).

Once upon a time my favorite Saturday morning cartoon was The Smurfs. I know there were many others, but that was the first one that came to mind.

my word verifications have been very strange lately. Today it's menrear. I like menrears.

Ahh those were the days. I'd have to agree with you on Kroft Super Hour featuring the Bay City Rollers. I had actually been to a Rollers concert in Boston and saw myself in the audience on that show !!!. Goofy plaid and all.

Minor League games on field 3 were the worst. The scores were always like 30 -28 because there were so many walks.

I was ALWAYS a Rocky and Bullwinkle fan...that and ducktails and the Smurfs and a few others I'm missing. :-)

I loved watching the Smurfs as they tried to get away from Gargamel and his cat Azriel--also--it was on earliest....and who didn't love watching Bugs Bunny & Tweety?! Yosamite Sam going to hell multiple times in one episode trying to kill off Bugs...I tried to have the girls watch one episode of Bugs the other day and they were scared--have tv shows really been sensored that much nowadays that Bugs Bunny is now scary? I tried having them watch Smurfs too--again too scary... I'll have to toughen those girls up (just joking) Heck--most of the Disney movies make Katrina scream "mommy--I'm scared, I'll be brave, but come hug me!" I guess maybe it's her age--she's just 3-1/4...

Happy Wednesday Bill!

The Justice League was my favorite. Except when those lame WonderTwins were on.

Strangely, my favorite Saturday cartoon was the Smurfs. Now, I looks back and wonder what I ever saw in it.

I'm not sure which was the better line in this post -- the opening line, or the one where you are described as running as if you were dragging a piano!
Truly, giving kids an extra year to gain confidence is sometimes the very best thing you can do. I am convinced that it has made a huge difference in my oldest son's academic life.

What does it say about me that I adore watching the Road Runner outwit Wile E. Coyote? Beep!Beep!

Oh my goodness, I loved Captain caveman, the great grape ape, and snorks.

I wonder if any of them are on anymore. I think my boys would love captain caveman.
