Tip

This is just an FYI to anyone who may not know the difference, which I did not think was that big of a deal, but...well see the pictures.

The clothes hanger on the top of the picture is a pants hanger. The clothes hanger on the bottom is a shirt hanger. The two should not be confused.

Apparently, THIS is not how one should hang shirts.

you are correct, Bill. Did Lauren have to tell you this?

No more wire hangers!

If you must resort to hanging a sweater on a pants hanger, you should at least hang it from the waist band to avoid "shoulder nipples." It is possible to get shoulder nipples from a shirt hanger, too--that's why I usually fold my sweaters instead of hanging them.

and how many times have you had to repeat to Lauren to stop hanging your's and the boy's shirts from pants hangers??

always a learning experience in the P&B household!

works for me! at least it is hung up and NOT on the floor, hanging over a chair, hanging on a hook etc. it totally works for me. unless it's MY shirt, then it will never do.

Hi!
This photo (that I could have taken in my own home before the training was completed) cracked me up.

Just stumbled here from Oh The Joys and I'm enjoying reading your stuff! I have 7 brothers (and 3 sisters) so I can relate to that whole thing.

And I'm sorry about your dad.

Hmmm, now I know.

Oh my goodness! I had a good hearty laugh at this! Seriously? I think it's so cute when my husband does stuff like that. You guys can be so clueless! (Not that wives aren't sometimes, too) At least you're hanging things up, right? A for effort!

You got busted, eh?

One question...does the leaf in Pic #1 signify anything? "As the leaf fell from the tree, so too my ego fell from grace when I got married." :-)

Those hangers were used in a store...they could have herpes...like Cinderella.

Call me crazy, but I think that's a perfectly acceptable way to hang up clothing...it beats leaving it laying on the floor!

Hangers? What, like for aircraft?? I pretty much just pull a shirt out of the dryer and put it on. Then, it spends its time in the laundry hamper until it gets washed -- and worn -- next.

So . . . how'd you hang the pants??!?

Heather said...

I think that's a pretty creative solution, actually.

Oh crap. I spose people are going to start a fuss about which way to put toilet paper on the roll too?

William,
I lost your email address in the great crash of 2007 (actually it wasn't all THAT great, just a minor one...but still)
Please email me. I need to ask you a question.

You are such a dad/man. LMAO at the wire hangers comment!

Hey, whatever works!

I'd be so happy that someone other than me actually hung something up, that I wouldn't care what it was hung with! You can come do laundry at my house any time you want!

Whatever works, I'm impressed that it got hung up! We have a tendancy to just "lay" things on the chair and Downy Wrinkle Release them later...

Love the writing, sorry to read about your dad...Mental hugs to you and yours.

I find it hilarious that my 4 year old daughter correctly identified the hangers and their specific use. LOL

So funny I just got a "reminder" on the difference in hangers this past weekend (I am catching up from not reading for a while).
