Oh William...that brings back so many memories of watching my daughter throw a leg over her crib! We'd always wonder how she did it and we did the same and put a camera in her room. LOL, they're crafty aren't they??
Sometimes coming to your blog scares the hell out of me b/c your son isn't that much older than mine. I really prefer to live in lala land and pretend this stuff doesn't happen!
Wait until he picks up speed....I remember a radio disc jockey telling about putting her daughter into the crib, and by the time she walked to the door, she was right behind her.....So probably a good thing you bought the big boy bed... Cute Video......
Way to go,Max! What a big boy you are! Now Mom and Dad will really have to keep an eye! You are growing up! There is so much more out there for you to see. The "trails" will be next! Go to it, Lad! The Adventures of MAxfield Meadows Begin! It is a BIG world out there. God Bless!
Bill --- oops, am I still not allowed to use names? damn... I mean...
'Bob' ---
I would suggest trying to use electric shocks around the top of the crib and a electric shock collar? ... just like they put on the dogs and the invisible shocking fence...
Maybe you can line the top of the crib with the invisible shock line?
Or you could always try lowering the mattress, which i'm sure you have already done!! so how about getting a small single bed and put up rails on the side... He's growing up and maybe ready for it now!!!
We bought the first one a big boy bed before he learned to climb out of bed (we needed the crib for the next kid... 27 months apart) and what was so funny was he'd cry for us until we came to get him. He didn't know he could get down or something. Weird. The next three were out of their cribs before 2 years old easy.
Have fun with that. Bedtime with an escapee is no picnic. LOL.

whoa!!! time to lower the mattress!!!
That is great...How tall is he?
You're in for it with that one! How old is he again? Nathan climbs lots of stuff but so far has not tried climbing out of the crib. Thank goodness.
This is the thing I'm most scared of in life...moving my kid to a toddler bed.
Bum ba bum.....
I guess he will soon be in a big boy bed!
Too cute!
Dont lower the mattress my mother did that when I was his age and I jumped out and broke my arm!
Time for a big boy bed. :)

Here's the good news. If he ever gets arrested, and thrown in the slammer, I'm pretty sure he escapes.
Just in time to get him used to a big boy bed and give the crib to the new baby! What luck! Stacie
So dreading the great escape time.
Such cute video though!
Thank God my child has short, stubby legs.
Awesome video idea. Love the feigned, "How did you do THAT?"
It's cute now: when they get a little older, being a flight-risk loses it's charm.
Or maybe just with my kids.

Does he need his diaper changed?

Rock ON, Mr. Maxfield!!! Keep 'em on their toes!!!
Now comes the fun of trying to keep the kid in the Big Boy Bed. Bwahahaha.
OMG I'm so glad my kids are grown.

My son David was escaping, but has stopped. I think he whacked his chin on the dismount. Once they get into the big boy bed forget about it.
And record timing!
Must keep kid contained? Crib tent. It's the savior of many a twin mom! Good luck with Houdini!
I'm impressed - did you see how he slowly lowered himself down? That kid's got serious upper body strength! He's a wily one, too.
