First Steps

video

Jackson started walking last week. I love watching him trying to get control of his legs while he finds his balance and center of gravity. Every time he walks it is a new experience for him. He is amazed at what he is doing even if he has not grasped the concept completely.

Last fall Huggies invited Jackson to NY for their Little Movers promotion. At that time Jackson was not a mover at all. Well he is now. As my wife said, it is time to cover the house in bubble wrap.

Huggies was nice enough to send me some coupons for free diapers to give-away as a "Poop and Boogies turns 5 promotion". That's right, FREE jumbo pack of diapers, which is like 12 bucks, which to a parent with kids in diapers is like gold. I have 5 coupons (P&B turns five...5 coupons, see how creative I am) to give away. If you would like a chance to receive a coupon please leave me a comment with the word "Huggies" in it. I will randomly draw 5 winners on Sunday. You need to have a valid blogger user name for me to track you down. Also if you have kids in diapers and you have a Twitter account you should follow Huggies, they give away stuff all the time.

If you are not interested in winning the diapers please leave a comment congratulating Jackson.

Congratulations, Jackson! (Do they make giant, adult Huggies, for grownups who've lost their minds and other capabilities from being over-snowed?)

Free Huggies would make our day! My little guy is a big fan. :) Congrats to Jackson--here's hoping he avoids too many bumps and bruises along the way.

Congratulations, Jackson! One day soon (like any day now) I will have a little girl that will grow very fast and soon be moving and shaking too! Would love Huggies for her in the mean time - if she ever decides to come out!!

It seems like yesterday that I would hold a glass of Southern Comfort in my hand and you would walk just like that over to me.

We'd love huggies at our house for the new baby. You can't beat free diapers.

I feel so left out -- I've only been reading for 2 of your 5 years. Oh well, at least I've had 2 great years of reading!

Nice work, Jackson. I hope your reign of house terror is long and relatively bump free.

And we can always use some Huggies over here. Seems as if half the house is in diapers. Oh wait. They are.

Huggies are always welcome at our house. Especially for my husband.

With two in diapers (one a relatively new walker), I could definitely use some Huggies!

We have soon-to-be 3 in diapers! Winning a Huggies jumbo pack would be awesome! Congrats Jackson! Kinda sad though, isn't it? :) Growing up so fast!!

Congratulations, Jackson! Getting a third son on his feet is quite an accomplishment :)

Love the 'bubble wrap' idea. Had to take oldest son to the dentist at 10 months because learning to walk too close to the box springs rail was a mistake. His permanent teeth came in fine, praise be.

woohoo Jackson! 'Huggies' and kissies are sent to you all the way from Canada from me and my 3 monkeys--2 in diapers--now you can start chasing after your brothers and the dog...fun! And Bill-- you and Lauren should get out your running shoes! (or are you still wearing them from Wyatt & Max?!)

diapers, please. :)

Yes, it is time to bubble wrap the house.

Congratulations, Jackson! Wait a tick, weren't you, like, just born?
Time flies, doesn't it, Bill? It seems like yesterday that my little guy (who just turned seven) was learning to walk!
Thank the Lord, we don't need Huggies at our house anymore. We may, however, need Depends in a few short years. Let me know when you're giving those away...

Congrats to Jackson!

Our little one started walking a few months ago. It's so fun to watch them work SO hard at developing that skill!

So yes, Huggies would definitely be useful around here!

Congrats to Jackson. I love when they start walking.

and I have to agree with Bogart. I laughed when you handed him food after the trip.

I'm willing to have another baby immediately for a coupon. However, as it's now Sunday night and my husband is already asleep, I don't think my chances are very good. CURSES!

(he's adorable, btw...)

Way to go Jackson. Now time to work on the running!

We still use Huggies overnights, if it works for them, then count me in. If you haven't already finished.

good for you Jackson! Those are the first steps that will take you all over the world; to your job; to school; to the girl of your dreams...your feet will support you; your legs will be standing tall as you mature into a wonderful man; you can dance, you can run, you can tickle your wife with cold toes when you get that far in life :o). Keep on walking, brother.

YAY JACKSON!!! Keep on truckin' lil dude!

If the Huggies coupons are good in Canada, I'll throw my hat in the ring - since I'm sure you'd prefer that over one of The Bun's diapers, am I right?

And since I should not be congratulating the wee mannie to be included - can I congratulate you and Lauren, instead? Now the trouble really starts.
