Morning conversation

Every morning, around 5:30, as I am waiting for the coffee to brew, Wyatt and I have this exact conversation. Every morning.

I have written about the show Yo Gabba Gabba before and I am amazed that he is still addicted to it. It is the first thing Wyatt asks for when he gets up.

You people get up far too early. At 5:30 I am just turning in.

Your laughter at the end is awesome. You should not enjoy torturing your son so much.

Dude ... Introduce him to the Flintstones.
Yo Gabba Gabba meets Yabba Dabba Doo.
That may mix it up a little for ya!

You're going to be having this conversation in one hour. I think that must mean it's time for me to go to bed. You people get up way too early!

I can't believe that you're awake enough at 5:30 a.m. to work a video camera... let alone torment your son. Well played, sir!

I loved that you laughed at him, and he just looked at you like, "Why are you laughing?" He has no idea how cute he is.

Are you mainlining that coffee in order to endure that show? Coffee, coffee in my tummy, yummy, yummy.

Katrina loves it too--I don't know why--it's addictive for kids, I guess--some of the guests seem really out of their element trying to teach the kids a new dance...a bit creepy. Wyatt's a sweetie!

Your Wyatt and my Owen are EXACTLY the same age. That video could be Owen and my hubby every morning, too, if you replaced Yo Gabba Gabba with Go Diego Go. And what's with our 2 year olds getting up at the crack of dawn?? I guess snuggle time with dad is hard to come by!

Totally creepy show, but my daughter likes it too. Her main obsessions are Dora and Wonder Pets. Our morning conversation (and evening) is "Dora? Ok Dora."

Yo Gabba Gabba is banned at our house. It is too bizarre for mommy. (But not as bizarre as The Upside Down Show... who's idea was it to give two guys obviously on drugs a kids show?)

Quinn's addicted to it too - how have we not talked about this before?

The DJ reminds me of Roger Thomas from What's Happening.

OK, I get that you're up at 5:30, but why the heck are you pulling that sweet little pumpkin out of bed that early?! Aaaack! They MUST stay asleep until AFTER mommy's first cup of coffee.

You have that conversation with Wyatt at the same time that I am bargaining with my dogs to give me a few more minutes before taking them out!

He is absolutely adorable!!!!

5:30? I would seriously not be able to function if my kid got up that early. You are a hero. Our morning conversation is me always being told that he does not want to watch the weather and that I need to turn on a kid show. Apparently watching the weather when you are 3 is torture.

I have conversations like that all the time with my just-turned-two-year-old, except she wants to watch "Allgonies" (Backyardigans). She says it all with the exact inflection and repetition as Wyatt does though, which I find hilarious.

Next time, do that and film his reaction when you change the channel. Does his expression change? I don't think seeing Jude Law come through my door could get my expression to change that early in the morning. I've never even heard of 5.30 a.m. It sounds awful.

the fact that you are up at 5:30 is scary to me....let alone that you are already taking care of children at 5:30,.....ouch.

YOur boys are totally PRECIOUS!

I MISS THOSE DAYS!

I bet you $100 that this third boy will look more like Max, but he will be a combo of Max and Wyatt as far as personality.

Ya up for it??

My son is the exact same age, and we have that exact same conversation, only ours is about Boos Coos [Blue's Clues]. Every. Single. Day.

Ok, I went to the website to see what this thing is all about.

I have one question.

How do you not go insane watching even 2 minutes of that?? WOW! That is some SCARY CREEPY Stuff, man. I am surprised your kids like it, mine would have cried! LOL It is too weird man.

Props to you for actually watching that with your kids.
