I hate to say it, but I am first place in both my leagues. This is a rare thing for me. I don't know how I am doing it since I drafted Randy Moss and Laurence Maroney in both drafts.
Could be worse. Jay Cutler has been fabulous. I've also got Andre Johnson and Anquan Bolden (who comes back two weeks after getting a fractured sinus to go for 100+ yards receiving and a TD. AP and Mike Turner. So I'm not doing too bad.
I have Brees. He was on a Bye last week. My back up was Shuab. He got -.05 points. I was better off using Brees on his bye.
If I wasn't on my couch looking for something good to watch ... I wouldn't have noticed the 8:15 start of Thursday night Football. I had until 8:15 to make my picks. It was 8:06. I quickly traded QB Shuab for a kicker because mine was on a bye. I also had to quickly pick the winners of all this weeks games ... because I am in second place right now on Pro-Pickems. (pick the winners using the spreads on Yahoo) I just made it in time. Thank God for High Speed Internet!
I drafted Frank Gore & Clinton Portis in the 1st round followed by Drew Brees. You'd think I'm winning the league with ease but I'm 2-7 & in the basement! I just traded Frank Gore away for Hines Ward & Tim Hightower. Hopefully, this will turn my team around in time to win the championship with the annual TMCFL championship record of 6-7!
I have Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers for QBs. Statistically, Rodgers is better. I have Roinnie Brown and a boatload of 1/2 ass recievers. I also have Willie Parker who had a great couple of weeks but is now walking wounded. Im 5-2 overall. No winning in my future. Im just looking not to end up in last place.
My fantasies are going great right now. Joey McIntyre from New Kids On The Block has been the front runner for a few months now, ever since their new album came out, ya know? And Edward from Twilight is always a fave.
I am currently in 3rd place and have survived the injury of my most consistent player, Anquin Boldin. Jut need Larry Johnson to stop spitting on women, I am thin at running back.
My fantasy football teams are pretty much in the crapper right now.
My starting QB is Shaun Hill. 'Nuff said.
