I am sure this question is heard by many fathers, after they were watching the kids while the mother was away and upon her return it is the first words out of her mouth.
The story of TGIM's life, I tell you what. Especially on Picture Day. Except that day I actually picked their clothes the night before, so what he actually heard when I came home was, "What the hell is up with their HAIR?!"
(We actually bought those pictures. Just to mock The Hair, of course.)
Like CK, I just assume the child dressed himself, and compliment him on a job well-done. Usually he will say, loudly, "And Daddy didn't even have to help!" Which gives me the opportunity to arch an eyebrow at Mr. E. So it all works out. ;)
I've uttered that question before. I just had to ask. The kid's father let him go to school wearing his Superman pajama shirt! I can only imagine what the teacher thought!
I just love, love love this site. I found it in a round a bout sort of way. But another site that I frequent had a link to yours. So here I am. Your stuff is so funny.
And why do men dress their kids so weird? What is up with that? Just dress the kid in the same color from head to toe and it shouldn't be a problem. Of course my husband has dressed our little one in clothes inappropriate for the season and clothes that are too small. For which he would have to search. Because I make sure our kid's closet is set up by color, by season and by size. Just to make things easier. But why should that make a difference?

My husband can't even get the outfits that GO together together...why is that?

Um. Yeah. My oldest daughter got sent to a friend's house in her (very obviously) pajamas once. He has never heard the end of THAT one.
