Its not the question but the facial expression that goes with it

"Bill, when you got the boys dressed this morning, did you pick out their outfits or did you let them pick them out?"

"I picked them out. Why?

"I was just......(sigh)...checking."

  1. okay...so MAYBE if you had considered her question before answering...you would have known to say "the boys picked them out, couldn't you tell?"

  4. Awww...I feel sorry for you. My husband is horribly color blind. I don't even have to guess whether it was his choice or our 4 yr old's. I try to be kind about his fashion choices.

  10. Again. For the 342nd time...I am just amazed and impressed that you GOT the boys dressed. That you do ANYTHING with them. Take them on errands, feed them, change diapers, etc.

Seriously...I would have LOVED any help from my husband. Now that we have two teens and 8 and 9 year olds, he is all about helping. Which is awesome. I just REALLY would have loved it and I REALLY needed it when they were younger and not as self sufficient as they are now.

As far as the dressing them thing. Don't worry about it, most women who see them today and notice what they are wearing will assume they dressed themselves:) At least you tried!

  11. My hubby picked picked me up at the airport earlier this month and when I saw what the kids were wearing I wanted to avoid them. They looked like such ragamuffins!

  12. What did you dress them in? It couldn't have been that bad, could it?

People always know when it is a dad morning - hideous prints together, pyjamas at school, mom's boots on.....

  14. You should always let them pick! It always makes for good conversation around here. Today my middle son wore a wool hat, an argyle sweater and shorts to school.

Just wait until you get ready to leave the house and she says, "Is THAT what you're wearing?"

    What? She already... Never mind.

  16. Hmmm...the problem is not you, it is the simple fact these are sons and not daughters.
    See...it's not really your fault!

Everybody puts their pants on one leg at a time...but they usually put the other leg in.

Blame it on being color blind. It's pretty common in men.
