Today's post brought to you by the letter Z

I received an email a couple of weeks ago informing me that Sesame Street launched a new website.

Sesamestreet.org

The email pointed out all the new features that the site has; Games, Videos, Character Bios (did you know Oscar the grouch is a Gemini?)Etc.

My favorite section is the video archive of all celebrity guests. Seeing a young Billy Joel, before his third chin, or a pre-dead Johnny Cash singing to Oscar is great. And this ONE is for Susie over at What Was I Thinking.

And this ONE is for Lauren at Gigglepotamus. I am just sorry that it does not include the new man her life, Timm Gunn, even though I think he resembles a muppet.

My kids love the "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon" song.

Of course, now that they are too old for Sesame Street, I don't get to hear it as much. 8^(

Thanks for the trip down memory lane ...

Very cool, and I am loving the new season of Sesame Street, if you haven't seen any new episodes yet you should check them out.

I sure enjoyed the other video in the sidebar - John Leguizamo as Captain Vegetable. I always loved Captain Vegetable.

circus kelli,

Morgan Freeman was Easy Reader (among other characters) on the Electric Company not on Sesame Street. I just saw a youtube video of him as Easy Reader; it was hysterical. I can't say I remember him being on there myself though.

Also my word verification is "iamdjxo" I am DJ XO!!! Too funny!

So much going on, and I'm a lousy efriend, sorry. Get the review written, why waste all that great stalking time you've invested?!

Congratulations to you and Lauren on the next Poop and Boogie disher-outer.

I'm glad you got the "thing" removed. I like the running with scissors reason. Or an angry mommy who holds a knife to your neck and says if this one isn't a girl... ;)

I hope you are all doing well!!

I haven't seen Sesame Street in a long time- save for the copy of Follow That Bird that I own. *grins* I'm tempted to catch a show or two. Our kids are way past that age but it was something I enjoyed when I was younger. As moi said.. thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Thanks a lot.

That is all I have to say. When I was reading this post, and then clicking on the links, my 21 month old son discovered that he could watch Elmo on the computer.

Do you realize how many times I have had to sit him on my lap and "play" Elmo for him....over and over and over...

So again...
Thanks. Elmo is haunting my dreams. :)

That celebrity guests page is a great trip down memory lane, but how...HOW...could they not include Stevie Wonder's beyond-awesome performance of "Superstition?"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ul7X5js1vE

No kidding, that's one of the best-sounding live performances I've ever heard. And c'mon, that kid above them shaking his hair all around? Forgetaboutit!

John Stamos totally needs to do this. Just sayin'...
