Love is...

...taking the empty trashcans back on trashday, before I get home from work, because you know I hate doing it.

  1. And I thank you, on behalf of your wife, for noticing.

I've loved my husband that way for weeks on end now and not even a verbal iota of gratitude. (hmph)

  5. Acknowledgement really is the key. When I do little things for The Hubs like that, it always surprises me how much he appreciates it and tells me. I guess his Ex-wife didn't do those types of things and so it makes him notice them when I do. So because I KNOW he notices and appreciates it, I continue doing those little things. It's a cycle, I tell ya!

  7. Absolutely! And since I have no spouse, I can't WAIT until my son is old enough to show me that kind of love.

Love is... My wife leaving the cans there for me, cause I can turn that into a ten minute job, which translates into ten minutes of solitude.

  11. Love is changing the empty toilet paper roll without being asked... oh, and putting down the toilet seat when you pee in the middle of the night. :)

  12. I do that. I don't even really know if Jif hates it. I hate it. He puts 'em out, so I bring 'em back. It works.
